Lack of accountability

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good salary and good benefits. Long history and strength to weather tough economic times

Cons

Many employees at salary and management level are poor performers or lack integrity and are not held accountable. This is across many functional groups. Promotions are based not on performance but who is available, who knows someone or diversity goals. Many excellent employees left or were let go without good reason.

Pros

Training was adequately provided for employees and the Moline/Davenport area was acceptable.

Cons

The culture within John Deere is toxic, leading to a very poor employee experience. If you are looking for a short-term experience to gain specific knowledge, this could be a viable option. However, if you are looking for a company to stay with for 3+ years, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Please note - The outward rhetoric from John Deere is excellent but the actual day-to-day employee experience does not align.
