Pros

Meeting the wide variety of customers that would come in, making friendships with some. The store I co managed was very laid back on slow day, a lot of just standing around which could be nice a lot of the time. The discount was amazing. Also the staff I worked with was like family. Lastly, I can not forget to mention how amazing it was to wear what I wanted and be able to wear my piercings freely.

Cons

The turn over rate is HORRIBLE. As a Co-manager I worked 60 plus hours a week and didn't get paid enough. Many times I had to work two 9 to 9 shifts back to back with only one hour break. They will work you like a dog! In the mornings, if you open, you are alone from 9-12, which makes it very hard to use the restroom or help multiple customers at once. Also thats when customers take the opportunity to steal. And due to working off commission it makes it a war zone between managers when customers come in, I have lost many sales this way.

Pros

Great people, nice atmosphere and awesome discount...otherwise that's it.

Cons

Very low base pay, .04 commission doesn't add up to much and the hours are ridiculous. 45-50+ a week, sometimes "stretch days" which means in the store all day.

Pros

I say the only good thing about this job was the discount and being able to wear what you wanted, 40% off anything in the company is amazing but thats all i can say i liked about the company.

Cons

Company only cares about selling and making money. Whether you make a connection with customers or not, as long as you made the company money thats all they care about. It should be about wanting customers to come back to your store and remember the service employees give you. They don't seem to care about Part timers because they can easily be replaced with an application that was left from someone. They also would never in a million years give a raise even when adding more stuff for everyone to do. I asked for a raise and my DM's response was no because minimum wage was being raised, but whether or not its being raised cost of living goes up so it leaves us in the same boat that we were in before. Another horrible thing about the company is the fact that you can possibly get fired for not selling socks. SOCKS!!!! People do not want to spend 10 bucks on a pack of socks. The company pushed socks more than anything, customers don't want to be pushed to buying something they don't want or need, its almost like we would annoy them to the point they just said okay and took them.
