Pros

40% off everything. That is just about the only good thing about this company. I wasted over two years here and have nothing to show for it. I BUSTED MY ASS! For nothing...they appreciate no one

Cons

Everything and anything about this company is a con. They treat you like complete crap, no matter if you're just a part timer or you're management. Forced to work AT LEAST 45 hrs a week as a manager, usually you work 50+, especially during Back to School and Holidays and you actually will work about 60+. Management OT is HALF time....HALF time!! Are you kidding me!? This company has a horrible turn over rate. They don't care if you're happy or not because they will pretty much tell you there is plenty of people out there that will do your job. I worked for Journey's for 2 years and in my last year there, I probably saw over 10 different management changes throughout my district....that is ridiculous! They will promise you a promotion, but just dick you around until you either quit or they can fire you. Most pathetic excuse for a company. Will never even shop here again!

Pros

40% off, flexible schedule, opportunity for promotions if you had the right DM

Cons

Pay is just awful for all positions! journeys is extremely cheap when it comes To their employees when they spend hundreds/thousands/millions on Nashville every year for selected managers who hit their 100k increase. It’s crappy because managers who don’t make it feel unappreciated, also putting their sweat, blood and tears into the job! being over worked! Expected to work 6 days a week during holidays as if we don’t have families ourself, meanwhile DMs and up get their weekends and holidays off. Expected to work 45+ hours a week, holiday season it’s 6 days a week 50+ hours. There is no work/home life balance at all. DMs favor certain managers. you get no appreciation from anyone unless you’re making their expectations. Unrealistic goals especially in a low volume store. SOPs = multiples, socks, acc are expected to be made everyday, week, month & yearly. = we are human it should be ok if we have an off day or week, even a month!

Pros

40% Discount (but its prorated as a new employee and there are limits) Coworkers were nice

Cons

Was condescended to and belittled by senior management team. Unless it's peak season pay will not be enough to support family Was explicitly told that people were not allowed to be sick on Saturdays. If I could describe upper management in one word it would be: micromanagers
