      Working at journeys was a good experience, it's hard work at a fast pace with long hours especially during the holidays

      Pros

      The marketing and merchandising team are on top of their game and keep the company moving forward no matter how the industry changes as the people's taste moves on.

      Cons

      overall the company keeps on making pay cut and the ones getting the worst of it are the people on the floor like managers and the co- managers, they work about sixty hits a week and no OT pay and their district managers keep getting younger and immature as well and it has become a trend that the people on the floor (managers) are treated with disrespect as documented all over the net, and unfortunately the hours for BTS and Dec. are only for "the brave" ( some of us had to work 80 plus hrs and no OT)

      Discount, you can wear what you want, laid back

      45+ hours a week, commission based salary, company more worried about you selling socks and accessories than shoes, conversion counters, 12 hour days with no breaks......

      40% discount. Very easy work load.

      Cons

      Incompetent store managers. They'll promote literally anyone, regardless of how under qualified you are. I've come across so many employees (associates and managers) of this company, whether it be on the phone or in person, that do not use their common sense and have little to no problem solving skills. The pay is TERRIBLE. Don't let them convince you otherwise. I've been lied to by so many people in upper management about commission and frankly, it just is NOT worth it.
