Pros

Nice offices in Austin and Santa Barbara

Cons

If you want to be treated like an adult, this is not the place for you. No transparency or ownership, boring product in boring space lead by egocentric bros who are terrified of showing vulnerability.

Dear Former LogicMonitor Employee, Thanks for the review. We have invested a lot into our beautiful offices as we believe it is important to work in an enjoyable and creative space. Being downtown in both Santa Barbara and Austin has allowed us to be in the center of everything – creating a dynamic environment for everyone! We also believe that all employees should be valued and heard, and we strive for transparency, to allow our employees to be at the center of our incredible growth journey. Monitoring is not a particularly exciting industry – I always say that in my talk to all new employees. *We* care about delivering the best monitoring so that our customers don’t have to. But as other reviews here (and our customers) attest – the product is loved and well received. We are always trying to improve our diversity, across all landscapes, including different backgrounds, gender, ethnicities, and diversity of thought. I know personally from product design meetings, that the more diverse the viewpoints that are heard, the better the final ideas and outcomes – and we aspire to this diversity in all departments. Unfortunately, as with many other tech companies, though we are actively improving our diversity, it is not yet where we want it to be. However, we spend a lot of time and resources focusing on this – through recruiting, events, and retention efforts. Regarding the lack of vulnerability – our goal at LogicMonitor, and mine personally - is to claim ownership of mistakes, be comfortable in admitting that we don’t know everything, and that we are imperfect. Being comfortable with those truths is how we learn. (Something else I say in my new employee talk!) This is also something that we have made steps to address, from CEO on down. I don’t know if you were here for the most recent leadership lean in, but the CEO acknowledged several areas that we are making an effort to work on, both as a company and him personally as a result of his 360 review. And rest assured – the executive team and Vista are very aligned on achieving a great company! Thank you again for your feedback. It is valued! Best regards, Steve Francis, Founder and Chief Evangelist

Pros

Smart bunch of people! Impressive product! Admirable revenue growth!

Cons

Experience differential between headquarters and Austin office of management team. LOTS of new managers, which is part of the startup challenge, but does not seem to be enough support to properly develop solid skills. Ageism is not absent. They want experienced people but they want those same people to be young and gullible.

Dear Former LogicMonitor Employee, Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. We very much appreciate your feedback. Creating an inclusive and collaborative culture where all backgrounds are supported is our priority. I am disappointed to hear that your experience did not live up to our hope that LogicMonitor will be the best place you have ever worked. We are continuously looking for ways to support our workforce. In fact, we have a newly dedicated resource to rollout training for all employees, as well as content specifically designed for managers focusing on effectively growing and supporting their teams. Additionally, our interview process is designed specifically to focus on assessing the skills and abilities of candidates. We believe focusing on objectivity in the interview process allows for matching the best candidate for the job. Thank you again for your feedback. If you are open, I’d love to take you to coffee to discuss this further so we can continue to enhance experiences for all team members. Feel free to reach out at any time, and I wish you the best of success in the future! Best regards, Emily Long VP of People Operations

Thanks for your input, we appreciate the feedback and definitely agree with you that LogicMonitor is a place for intelligent people that like to have fun. Although we have a strong product vision, an area we are working on is articulating that product vision message out – both internally and externally. Steps towards this include Product initiatives like In The Know, which is a precursor to Product's release notes. Glad you are enjoying one of our beautiful offices and the smart and fun people they are filled with! Thanks again.
