Cultural Void, Unattainable Comp by Design, Private Equity Pump and Dump

Pros

*Excellent downtown location *Transit allowance *Well run channel team *Product services a need in a pivoting marketplace *Work/life balance above average

Cons

*Private equity implemented a backloaded comp plan, OTEs are largely unattainable. *When they mention culture, they mean culture of fear. Someone is going to get fired at the end of every quarter. *Political imbalance is painfully obvious. *10-12 hours in forecast meetings/week. *Redundant deal management processes and no single source of truth used by management teams. *Zero investment in enterprise pipeline generation from marketing. *Smart leaders are stripped of any capability to effectively manage teams. *B & C players succeed by floating questionable orders through partners. Company paid commissions and recognized large deals (six figures ore more) 90-120 days before customers signed agreements on more than one occasion. *Standards for disciplinary action are arbitrary at best. *Sales operations largely is inept, condescending, and lacks any collaborative skills. *Company delivered over their annual target to the parent organization, but less than 30% of sales organization came close to OTE. *Sales cycles extremely long, largely due to inefficient operations/legal procedures and arrogant negotiation tactics. *Sales territories, account line sizes and role functions change frequently within fiscal quarters with little warning and no roll out plan. *Toxic pre employment personality/aptitude assessment weeds out qualified candidates *HR partners lack ability to remain objective and neutral in standard situations

Thank you for weighing in. We appreciate the pros you've listed and your point of our solutions being a need, not a nice-to-have, is certainly playing out in these changing times. Our hyper-growth, and world-class customer retention and expansion numbers are strong evidence of that. Your perspective on cons is quite lengthy so it's difficult to know where to start responding. Two comments that I feel compelled to make are that we are proud of the numerous sales quota club qualifiers who we recently celebrated on-stage at our sales kick off and at our club trip. As you would expect at a hyper-growth company, a significant number of sales and business development folks are realizing tremendous success, and I'm sure these folks, and our auditors, would respectfully disagree with some of your assertions. My second comment is Vista has been a great majority owner and supporter for two years and we look forward to continuing our market-leading growth with their sponsorship into the future. I am happy to talk through details of your concerns. Feel free to reach out. It sounds like LM wasn't a good fit for you and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. A culture of fear is no culture at all

Pros

The technology is sound, great customers, and great business opportunity.

Cons

Leadership, especially at the Executive level. Lack of vision, manage through fear, politics, and playing favorites. People are unduly promoted because they are personally close to management, not based on merit. People are fired for not being so, questioning direction, or providing a differing opinion. You are at a huge disadvantage if you are a woman.

Dear Former LogicMonitor Team Member, As the founder, the culture of LogicMonitor is very important to me, and to the executives we hire. I presume you went to the orientation I give all new hires - I say, and really mean, that we are trying to build a culture where results matter; where everyone is encouraged to question directions (from anyone); and I ask people to come talk to me if they see behavior that is not aligning with those values. If you experienced anything where you believe we did not live up to those values, I'd love the opportunity to hear from you over coffee and talk more. We are aware that as we grow, this culture becomes harder to maintain - but we spend a lot of time working on it. Employee sentiment is so important to us that in October we launched our first company-wide engagement survey to understand exactly where our employees feel we need to improve - not my idea, but I wish it was. We encourage our people to review their LogicMonitor interview and employment experience on Glassdoor, or whatever outlet they deem appropriate, as feedback is critical to our growth and success. What our employees and candidates express is completely up to them, and certainly not something we can force. Constructive feedback, in any form, allows us to be better and stronger. We wish you the best of success, and appreciate your feedback! Sincerely, Steve Francis Founder & Chief Evangelist

Pros

The technology is flexible and does what it says its going to do

Cons

-Most (if not all) positive reviews on here are from individuals who just joined the company - they make submitting a Glassdoor review part of the on-boarding checklist to boost ratings. Poor form. -Its this level of dishonesty every candidate should expect when joining LogicMonitor

I'm sorry to hear that after investing 3 years of your career with LogicMonitor that you left with such a negative impression of the company. The vast majority of our employees consistently rate LogicMonitor as a great place in many polls and surveys. We do ask as part of the onboarding process that new hires share their experience on Glassdoor, but we welcome reviews at any time. One of our core values is Better Every Day, and feedback is essential for improvement. We do not control or influence the content of employee reviews, and that is not even possible on Glassdoor.
