Pros

Pay CAN be good if you work hard, good hours, fun co-workers, training has improved immensely.

Cons

Sales is not an easy org to be a part of. No recognition unless you're one of the top reps. Not a lot of opportunity for advancement on the sales side.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad that you recognize the improved training, fun co-workers, good hours, and that hard work leads to great pay. There aren’t many other jobs that progress to 6 figures as quickly as LP sales. However, there is a ton of opportunity for advancement at LP that you may not be seeing because of the remote environment. Over the last two months, we’ve added 1 new sales manager, 3 asst. sales managers, 2 asst. SDC’s, 5 BDE’s, and several others into different roles within the company that were a better fit for their long-term goals. In fact, only 8% of our current Portland sales staff with greater than 1 year of tenure, has yet to be promoted into one of those roles mentioned above – All of which offer higher salary, and either more responsibility (mgt.), or autonomy (Sales Exec). There are dozens of open positions on our website for different roles throughout the company. I recommend you take a look, and apply if you’re interested; sales members usually have a healthy mix of experience for those roles. Lastly, there were a couple topics you mentioned that I’d like to learn more about, and address them head on. I’d really love to meet with you directly if you’re open to discussing ways we can make positive improvements to our org. Please reach out! - Eric S. Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Cons

Pay is horrendous. It actually makes me sad because I genuinely love the company and products.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I appreciate you mentioning the culture and the support from the people you work with. Those same people should be able help with the pay concerns you mentioned. We have a large portion of our sales team doing very well by selling multi-product accounts, prospecting using new methodologies, etc. I know our sales leadership team would help coach on this, or I will myself if you want to setup a time to chat. The base pay for sales starts relatively low because it’s highly commission-based and takes time to build a pipeline. This enables us to hire more people with different backgrounds, including some with no prior experience - it allows us to give more people a chance. After that, the compensation is performance-based and incentivizes high productivity. I appreciate you and everything you do. Let’s setup a time to chat if you are up for it and see what we can do. Very Sincerely, Mike W.

Pros

I enjoyed the company and the work they do. My co-workers were awesome and great atmosphere.

Cons

The company revolves around turnover and lots of it is based upon your manager closing your deals. There’s no human element involved if you’re retained or not. If you don’t meet their metrics after a certain amount of time you’re gone regardless of how long you’ve worked there or what else you bring to the table.

I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the people and the work we do. Our mission and values mean a lot to us, so it’s great to hear affirmation from an individual and company level. We are very transparent upfront about our sales expectations, and discuss this extensively during the pre-screen/interview/onboarding process. The sales role is one of the hardest roles in the company, but VERY lucrative for our exponentially growing number of Sr’s, BDE’s, ASM’s, Managers, GM’s, and up who’ve found a home here. These individuals are tremendously talented and possess a unique skill set that is difficult to find – hence some of the turnover you may have seen, which is something we take seriously and are always working to improve. We truly appreciate everything you did at LP and wish you nothing but the best for your future. Eric Scriven, VP Sales and Marketing
