Pros

Recession proof for full time employees. Benefits are good. Pay is more than that of competitors. (only company that is Union, competitor companies non-union)

Cons

Part timers are treated not equally with full timers. Although the Great Recession has hit us all, very poor management decisions have resulted in severe apathy among hourly employees. Union is invisible and not pro-active. Majority of management either will not support employees, are not qualified or have a severe power trip that needs to be addressed by a health care professional.

Pros

It's easy, if that's important to you. People seem to stick around because they lack ambition and enjoy a monotonous lifestyle.

Cons

The management turnover is ridiculous, new management every 6 months or so. The union is absolutely out of control and they're running the branch into the ground. The branch itself is unfit for a workplace with how dirty and beat up everything is there. The employees generally are always looking for ways to hurt the new employees' jobs, ensuring their own job security. Watch out for some of the ones who are nice, because once your back is turned, they're anything but your friend. The management bows to the union because the union's been allowed too much power. The branch is unprofitable and it shows.

Pros

Unless you loose money or fire your weapon, it's hard to get fired from there.

Cons

Managers don't communicate with employees. Employees aren't all treated equally.
