Pros

Most employees have a flexible work schedule. It is not very stressful and you get pretty decent state benefits. Quality of leadership is very dependent in which department you work.

Cons

There is very little opportunity for raises and innovation is not encouraged. Any advances are given to "yes" men and women. Constructive criticism is frowned upon.

Pros

As a graduate assistant, most of the people are kind, good-hearted people and fun to work with.

Cons

Very demanding for a ridiculously low amount of money. Employees are paid on a 2001 pay scale and most seem untrained. They seem to be apathetic to improving themselves or working hard because the pay is so low and there is limited upward mobility. Tuition benefits were also on the 2001 pay scale, so graduate assistants still had to pay out-of-pocket. When tuition increased, the benefits remained the same.

Pros

Flexible hours and relaxed environment

Cons

Pay was a little low and it took almost 6 weeks for the bursar to process our first pay roll. Otherwise, the checks came on time and were really consistent.
