Pros

- Sometimes there are free snacks in the breakroom. - The dress code is decent; generally, you can wear as you want (no uniform).

Cons

- The pay is minimum wage or just a few cents above for coordinators. - The hours get excruciatingly low after the holidays, which shows just how little they care about their workers (their little play-things). - New hires rarely receive training from competent individuals and may go their entire time not knowing basic things because management is useless. - The customers you have to deal with tend to have the intelligence of a rock and the arrogance of fools; the most infuriating and neurotic of people. - At our location, the store is never cleaned by any janitorial crew. It is filthy and disgusting. - Managers sit around in their little office all day doing nothing like the useless parasites they are. - Store keeps on hiring way beyond capacity; our location has over 70 people hired and we have dedicated workers only working eight hours a week. Are you kidding me? - I cannot say this strongly enough: this place is hell. I cannot recommend ever stepping foot in this store with the intention of applying.

Pros

For retail, the company is pretty great. During the beginning of the pandemic the company paid ALL employees for about a month to stay home. After this, coordinators and above continued getting paid while part-time associates got furloughed. A lot of people can't say the same. The company also gave several bonuses of appreciation for working during the pandemic after we had to go back. They give the stores money monthly to stock the break room with various snacks for associates. There's a lot of opportunity for growth and I've seen some people move up to management fairly quickly. I've heard management makes decent money on salary as well.

Cons

There's a lot of turnover, as expected with most retail jobs. It can also be really difficult to get a consistent schedule. I also ran into problems with unprofessional management over the years. It seems like there's not much that will be done if people continue to have problems. The District Manager makes more visits, but this usually contributes to tension within the store. Associates often feel like they don't receive significant/efficient training, and I would agree. Sometimes it feels like you aren't sure what the real policies are because different managers feel differently about certain things. This causes a lot of problems and confusion for associates, especially at the registers.

Pros

Pays well. If you do your job they basically leave you alone

Cons

You need to hit your metrics or you'll get a(negative) phone call or an unannounced visit. Hours fluctuate depending on what needs to get done. There is always something from corporate that comes up and needs to be done by that day!!!
