Pros
I have been with this company for over three years. When I think of this company the main word that comes to mind is growth. In the few years, we have greatly matured as a company (reducing hours of operations, added a 401k plan, full health insurance, etc.) we have added 70 employees, moved offices twice, added on 3 new markets (disciplines), expanded into more than 5 settings, and added on 5 new full product offerings while producing thousands of video-based content. MedBridge has built a machine to help us grow faster than all of our competitors. Not only has the company seen growth across the board, but I have grown personally and professionally in ways I would not have done elsewhere. Due to the amount of growth the company has seen and the Bootstrapped nature of the company, employees are given a pretty cool opportunity. - You are not just a number at this company: There are not 50 of you doing the same very specific role. You will get to dive into your work and see it from start to finish. You get to work on cross-functional teams and own projects while also having the opportunity to do a wide variety of work. - You can meet your career goals: One thing I love about this company is that they want to work with you to help you reach your career goals, whether that is lateral or horizontal movement. The company often promotes from within and I have seen numerous employees move to different teams in the company to pursue a new career. - You will learn a lot: What I like most about this company is that it is always learning and MedBridge puts its faith in its employees. As an employee, I am given an opportunity to try new things, strategically throw spaghetti on the wall and see if it sticks. Realizing that we may not be successful every time, the company backs its employees and we learn together. Lastly, I am excited to see the growth of the company over the upcoming years. MedBridge is picking up speed and the possibilities are very exciting.
Cons
There are always challenges with strong growth. Our current clients love us and want more from us and as we grow into new markets there are more demands. We often do not have the size team that we would like to accomplish our goals. I know the company is working to remedy the gaps but we can only grow so quickly. Also, as the company continues to grow there are often a lot of new roles. New roles and expansion of teams create a need for expansion of processes, communication, etc. It takes a little patience and trust in the team to work through the pain points of the transition phases. having seen where we were when I started to where we are now, I have full faith in the company.
