Pros

Nearby park with a dock that's nice to eat lunch on during the summer. Free snacks, fruits, coffee, and creamer. Most employees are friendly, smart, and talented. I feel like we have great products that have potential to change a lot of people's lives. Somewhat modern open floor plan. After previously having almost none, we recently got a few benefits typically standard in most companies.

Cons

I'm 90% positive that the CEO (and/or his management minions) are writing these 4/5 star reviews to counter all the negative reviews. Regardless, he should know that current employees are laughing at them all. I feel a little bad being publicly critical, but MedBridge has had it coming, and with fair warning too. I've put off posting this for too long. People who have expressed their concerns to the CEO (respectfully) have left soon after (even without jobs lined up), been advised to leave, or were fired. (Earlier comment about 15+/50 people leaving just this year is true). Don't believe the "open-door-policy" he claims to have. It's a trap. Since the last firing (which was done with no sound reason), he has lost so many employees' trust. The CEO was sly to target newly graduated, "yes men". Like other reviews have said, almost everyone at the company is in their 20's so it's difficult to learn and grow. On top of that, I don't see any evidence of management training. Promotions are clearly based on seniority (and favoritism) and not by actual ability to manage. To keep this post shorter than I would like to, I'll say, as of the time of this post, I have read and support all information shared in previous comments made with 1-2 stars about both pros and cons. I'm running out of here once I have a job lined up. ||| Advice to Prospective Employees: Avoid MedBridge until there's a new CEO. I honestly advise you to be suspicious of any ratings 4+. But if you dare to give it a shot, make sure to cover all your bases in writing before signing - including specific work hours, needing to work on weekends, travel needs, holidays, benefits (including stocks which I hear only a special few have), etc. Verbal promises mean nothing at all.

Inexperienced & Chaotic Company

Pros

Overall smart and driven employees. MedBridge has been lucky to hire some really intelligent and motivated people who are able to succeed and forward the company despite the lack of clear direction from leadership. Decent work life balance (if you want it). Some employees chose to work evenings and weekends, but it's definitely not required. New clean office with free snacks. Fun company bonding events from time to time. Weekly stand-up meeting on Monday and "Beer O'Clock" on Friday cultivate company communication (although Beer O'Clock can often feel like a tool to ensure employees must remain in the office through 5:30 on Fridays).

Cons

Deep lack of industry and professional experience. Most managers are under 26 and have never worked full-time at another company, much less had any previous management experience. The CEO has never previously worked in healthcare and lacks a basic understanding of industry standards and terms. Lack of consistency and focus with company direction. The management team changes focus on what felt like a weekly basis - course plans, project timelines, and development priorities are constantly being shuffled to meet the latest promises made to potential clients. High turnover. For a company of about 50 people, I can count 15+ who have left in 2015. Morale was low when I left, and current employees tell me it has only gotten worse. Minimal benefits. Employees receive 5 sick days and 10 vacation days, as well as basic health coverage. Compensation is generally low for Seattle tech companies, and employees don't seem to receive consistent salaries based on role/experience. Promotions are somewhat arbitrary (mostly title changes that don't stick) and typically limited to individuals already in management. Inflexible work hours. While the employee handbook reads hours are 8-5, employees are told to work 8-6 and are reprimanded for leaving "early" before 6 (although members of management seem to have much greater flexibility that other employees aren't allowed).

Pros

- The product is great. - Healthcare is an interesting space to work. - Currently allowing work from home because of the pandemic. - Free snacks when in the office. - I have met some amazing people here.

Cons

I would not work here again; it really depends on the manager you have. I have heard great things from people on other teams but looking back at the other negative reviews, this company has not changed much. - Goals are out of reach and out of reality. - Vacation policy is ok, nothing special. - The healthcare is not great for a healthcare company. - When you leave the company, they make you sign a severance agreement not to post bad reviews on glassdoor, etc. Read the other negative reviews before you decide to work here, nothing has changed on some teams. They monitor glassdoor and try to post short positive reviews to push the negative reviews down. - Management is not qualified. For many it is their first job out of college, and they have made it to VP level here by virtue of having been with the company since the founding days. They have no management experience and it shows when you work on projects with them. Approvals for anything is a nightmare. - Management seems to believe micro-management is a sign of a good manager. They will delegate tasks to you then micro-manage you into the ground and fail to share important details about what was delegated to you. - Permanent work from home is still not on the cards it seems. The company has been doing great the past year, and a lot of employees, if not most, have expressed interest in permanent work from home. Allowing only a select few favorites do it when they move away is not acceptable. - Turnover is extremely high but the causes aren’t addressed. One day you will be emailing someone and find out they no longer work there the next day. Every few weeks I hear of someone new having left. - False talk about promotions and title changes; they will talk but, promotions are very slow to materialize if at all, it’s a ploy to keep you around. - Too many meetings that could have been emails. - A lot of people on other teams do not want to take responsibility for their work and do not want to collaborate with other teams unless they like you. - You will do a lot of work here that should be some one else’s job and that person doesn’t care to do it or, can’t do it correctly. - They let a few people go during the start of covid and then said they would not be letting anyone go… - Salaries are lower than the market, especially for the Seattle area. - I have heard many people being chewed out by c-suites for something they were not involved with. - The company’s strategy changes every 10 minutes. You could be working on a project for a month, and have it completely changed overnight with no one to warn you about said changes.
