Inexperienced and immature leadership

Pros

- Some really smart, dedicated, and collaborative people who made coming to work enjoyable - a legitimately good product that customers love - interesting projects and opportunities if you are proactive - If you are early in your career and can handle being thrown in the deep end without a ton of support, this can be a decent place to get experience and build your resume, just don't stay long enough to learn bad business practices

Cons

If you read the negative reviews from 2017/2018 (which I did when I was hired, and thought maybe the company had grown up more than it did), not much has changed besides the easy things like more WFH, days off, etc. Weak vision and strategy that changes constantly, is poorly communicated, and not grounded in a real understanding of the market and customer base. I observed more than one occasion where a large client's low satisfaction could cause a major pivot, with resources and time diverted for one pet project that the client lost interest in once completed. As several others have noted, the CEO surrounds himself with a mostly young and inexperienced leadership team, several of whom are bright but have never stepped foot in another company and either don't have strong enough conviction to push back or have realized it's futile. Often, experienced people who could really help transform the business are brought in but soon leave or are pushed out. It's virtually impossible to penetrate that inner circle, nor is it probably worth your time.

Pros

Great mission Great product Lots of talented, eager, high achievers Sounds like they have made lots of positive changes in the last 2 years.

Cons

Extremely cliquey. Management thinks they are “fast paced,” but it takes forever to get anything done or approved (unless you are one of the CEO’s favorite few) Middle management is basically non existent and if they do exist, they have no power to help their team My experience included reporting through male management that was UNBELIEVABLY SEXIST and belittling (these leaders have since quit/been demoted or been fired, but the ceo isn’t much better) The entire company is obsessed with drinking and if you don’t go “party” you miss out on opportunities and are othered by the teams.

Pros

MedBridge is a great company that is continuing to grow and evolve. What a blast! I truly am excited to go to work every day, and wish that all of my friends and family could experience the same amount of satisfaction and fun in their own jobs. We're truly solving a need in the industries that we serve, and there is so much opportunity for growth. With such a talented team and great strategic vision, I'm confident that the company will continue to be successful. Our customers get really passionate about our products, and it feels great to be making such a positive contribution to the medical field. I really like my coworkers too. It's a fun, energetic, and most of all, talented group of people. We like spending time together during the work day and outside of work as well. The CEO, Justin, is an amazing leader and mentor. He is a major reason that the company has been so successful. His unrelenting focus on quality, and the drive to always look for the next opportunity for our company (as well as our customers!) have really helped shape the MedBridge culture. He also truly cares personally about each employee. I especially appreciate that he remembers little details about each person, and always makes sure to connect with them on it in water cooler chit chat. Benefits have steadily increased as the company has grown. Medical/Dental/Vision, 401k, flexible hours, professional development compensation, bring your dog to work days, fun company events, etc.

Cons

There are high expectations, and things move quickly. That work environment is not always a fit for everyone. I would take the negative reviews with a big grain of salt, because those individuals simply did not find a match in MedBridge. If you like being challenged and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this is for you. If not, there are a variety of other companies where you will likely find a better fit. The job market in Seattle is one of the best in the nation!
