Pros

- Exposure to all kinds of technology & Clients, to find out where you "fit": Storage, SaaS, Service, Consulting, Hardware, etc. - Very real advancement potential, in less than a year I saw more than a dozen AE get hired by their clients or secure lucrative jobs elsewhere - all OTEs in 70-120k range, and some even more - I had the best mentor ever N-Bot - Opportunities to advance from within, into staffing, sales, or inside sales management - saw several people promoted while I was there and they were looking to promote several more - Lot's of very impressive AEs to work alongside and learn from

Cons

- Ramp up period can be intense, and take some flexibility, but those who stick with it are rewarded - Lots of effort typically required to be a top performer, although this is the same with most places in sales

Pros

- Great work/Life balance - Infinite opportunities to get involved & learn - Opportunity to work directly for VP's and CEO of High-Tech Companies right out of college - Structured sales training & call reviewing framework - Upper Mgmt delivered exactly what was promised to me in my interview: - Got sales trained - Learned how to hunt & gather opportunities via prospecting on the phones - Learned how to organize and manage a sales pipeline - Tendered offers to be hired out by both my clients in a matter of months

Cons

- Little bit of luck is involved in being paired with a good account - It's not easy, you won't be good at it when you start, and you will stumble along the way. However, if you keep your nose to the grindstone and work hard - the payoff is second to none...

Pros

co-workers are young and jovial

Cons

Other posts are spot on.It's like being in high school again: major gossip (among all levels), bosses play favorites, and the upper management is immature and have short fuses. I've heard the bosses yell and curse at SEVERAL employees for minute things. Immature, and disgraceful.
