Pros

The product is fantastic! It truly did make my workday more efficient, and the sales team uses what they sell, which makes them truly able to know all the ins and outs of the product.

Cons

In the interview process I was told: -people don't get fired (I saw 4 people fired before/with me in less than 3 months) -most reps hit quota (Very rarely- some do, but it's a testament to them working 11-12 hour days) -there are a plethora of good inbound leads (very rare, and depends on which market segment you get) -there would be three SDRS promoted within the next four months (Nope) -there was ongoing training and development. (This was a weekly meeting that had no training from management) I wanted to love this, but anytime there were problems, management would say "that part of being a series A" rather than actually going to resolve the issue or take responsibility for things like: no leads for weeks. I was told to do outbound, but not given enough time for an outbound effort to result in deals (we all know it takes 8-11 touches to get a response) This place is toxic. It made me feel like I should leave sales, and now I'm at another company literally blowing my quota out of the water, without being pressured tot work 12 hours a day cold calling VPs of Sales who don't know what your product is.

My sincerest apologies this was your experience at Mixmax. While I agree with you we are still a young company finding our way and clearly didn't have everything perfectly ironed out during your time here. I will say, we had to make some necessary changes in a short period of time to move the business in the right direction. Obviously you were here during these changes so again, apologize it didn't go as smooth as it could have. Changes have been made and am happy to report, the team is on target to hit Q1 revenue targets - 2 SDR' have been promoted with timelines for 2 more to move up, training is still a work in progress and getting better and inbound lead flow is working as it should. Simply takes time to build a business and get everything to operate as it should. I sincerely appreciate the input and will make sure to be abundantly clear to all individuals wanting to join this rocket ship.

Pros

Gym stipend, Dog friendly, Good logo

Cons

They hired and fired 4 SDRs in 3 months. The sales team was very clique oriented, with a lot of whispering in small groups in the work place. I was so excited to love Mixmax, and was so quickly disappointed by their lack of employee enablement and sense of entitlement. Management was completely unengaged but expected results, though there is no quota.

Pros

-I'm empowered to be my own person at work. -Management doesn't micro manage. Wants to see everyone succeed. -We are given the tools and support needed to be successful. -Inclusive community. -I know what I need to do to get promoted. Comfortable talking about promotions with upper management. -Transparency between upper management and their team. -My voice feels heard and included in important decisions. -Travel opportunities. -Benefits are great. -Our 3 co-founders are passionate about what they do and care about their employees as much as the product itself.

Cons

-Changes happen fast and quick. This is less of a con, more so the the reality of a start-up. -No formal training. We were expected to figure it out and ask questions when they came up. Again, not really a con, but the reality of working at a start up. You need to be a self starter to be successful here. *Co-workers and management are quick to jump in to help in anyway.
