The worst job experience I’ve ever had

Pros

The management is really good at being deceptive, so the first few weeks will feel really great (though you’ll start to sense that things aren’t as they seem)

Cons

The management is really good at being deceptive, and they have no loyalty to any employee. They will lie through their teeth about you and poison your reputation while you’re there and after you’re gone. There is almost no way to come out of this company unscathed unless you are a epic-level bum-kisser. The CTO is a puppet-master, the CEO is a bipolar delusional lunatic, and all of them will either turn on you on command or cower in the corner while the others do. This is a company dominated by white males... making the same cliché appearance of diversity by promoting women to roles the men do not respect (art, HR, marketing “make our commands look pretty”) and you’ll notice that no women are Chief of anything... Director, Manager, etc

Pros

MobileCause paves the way for a job that gives you the feeling of good job security if you work hard, and offers a culture that can be fun at times. Pretty good sales operating tools, great product, very friendly staff, and good benefits! Working for a good cause with a platform that does work as advertised. CEO is pretty solid. Management does a pretty good job in trying to help as much as they have capacity for. Nice they have snacks (but could be healthier options), and fun Friday's is a decent attempt to keep folks engaged together.

Cons

Marketing needs a lot of help. Lead flow and especially quality is a problem. For the price of the software, we are targeting an abundance of small orgs, wasting a lot of precious time that could be better served with higher quality orgs who don't flinch at the price tag. Tough to please management consistently, and if you miss a day or two of work you're very behind. It's challenging to hit quota's consistently as a team and individual which makes it really difficult to make six figures a year. Quota's realistically 25% too high until larger ACV's can be proven with higher quality leads. No residual commission structure for clients who renew. No real room for upward mobility within the company. They do not promote from within. High volume workload, and too much day to day multi-tasking to achieve goals and metrics. Could be more helpful with training and support for sales targets.

Pros

MobileCause is full of great employees with a lot of energy working towards the success of the company. The nicest people to work with in any company. Plenty of snacks and food for employees. Always looking to try new things and improve customer experience. Casual work environment which is nice to be comfortable while working.

Cons

The company is growing rapidly so changes can be made that get you out of your comfort zone.
