Pros

The company's mission and values are meaningful, and they remain one of the biggest reasons I enjoy working here. I genuinely enjoy my role as a General Manager and take pride in my location, my team, and the work we do. My direct supervisor gives me the autonomy to run my location without excessive micromanagement. The CEO clearly cares about both the company and its employees, and that passion is a genuine strength of the organization. The new COO appears to be taking positive steps toward improving structure and operations, which is encouraging.

Cons

Leadership and accountability are inconsistent, particularly at the upper management level. Support for General Managers could be stronger. While I appreciate the autonomy, I have not consistently felt supported when challenges arise. Frequent turnover among department heads makes it difficult to maintain consistency, long-term planning, and organizational stability. Company-wide decisions are sometimes announced before they have been fully developed, creating confusion and uncertainty. Compensation for General Managers appears inconsistent, with little transparency or standardization. Performance feedback and professional development opportunities are limited. Some operational processes are unnecessarily inefficient. For example, employee terminations can take up to two weeks because only one person is responsible for processing all required paperwork across the company. Too many issues require escalation to the CEO rather than being resolved through established management channels.

Pros

The only real positive was the people I worked with, my team mates were great.

Cons

I came in at a senior/management level with a lot of experience, used to running my own work, making decisions, and leading without constant oversight. That is not how ModWash operated. Everything was micromanaged by the CEO. She was the bottleneck for every single department and every tiny decision, from placing basic orders to moving routine work forward. Nothing could move without her approval. Because she was involved in everything across the company, she didn’t have time to properly support any one team, yet there was still an expectation for immediate answers. If you were waiting on her, you were stuck, and then blamed for delays. There were no boundaries with work-life balance. The CEO regularly texted at all hours, including nights, weekends, and even around 2 a.m., with an expectation that people were available and responsive. When people left, which happened often, their work was pushed onto whoever remained. There was no real discussion about title changes, pay increases, or workload. It was just expected. The environment felt tense and uncomfortable, driven by the CEO’s behavior. There were repeated outbursts from her, including yelling, aggressive reactions, throwing objects, and slamming items on tables. It made it difficult to feel comfortable speaking up or doing your job with confidence. Direction changed constantly. You could be told one thing, then later questioned or blamed for following it. Turnover was extremely high. Most of the people I started with are no longer there, and many people did not last long. If you are considering a corporate role here, I would be very cautious. You will not have real autonomy, you will likely be expected to absorb extra work without extra pay, and the environment is not healthy. The concerns mentioned in other reviews closely reflect my experience as well.
