Network support products and technical staff are generally very qualified.

Cons

Middle management does not regularly connect to products or technical staff resulting in a disconnect where middle management is not aware or doesn't care to resolve product problems. Upper management often bypasses middle management resulting in staff reporting to both.

Netscout management is ethical and has good moral values. The medical and dental benefits are excellent. Generous vacation plans. Good products.

Cons

Egotistical CEO that tends to micro manage every part of the business. CEO has no experience running a company the size Netscout has become after acquisitions. Spotty record with acquisition success. Unrealistic sales growth expectations.

The problems our customers need solving are hard. Creating software solutions for these problems has been one of the more satisfying activities of my career.

Cons

Management has incentive to operate in crisis. Work schedules are organized by the waterfall method. Work life balance is poor as a result of these two factors
