Pros

Bonus/commission opportunities and starting salary is competitive.

Cons

Training is negligible. Company backlogged thousands of loans and hands the aged files to new processors to deal with.

No work life balance

Pros

Pay is good and employees are great

Cons

No work life balance to start. Being forced to come back in the office while there is a national pandemic. Regional management lacks the skills it takes to manage a region. Management claims to care about their loan officers but are now requiring mandatory Saturday’s (even for loan officers already hitting goal) within 2 days of notice. Management also doesn’t even work the shifts they require their loan officers to work unlike at other companies which probably explains why management is on completely different pages than their Loan Officers. The only reason most people are staying is because of the pay. Management is trying to run their loan officers like a production schedule and it’s sad because it forces good talent elsewhere. I came to newrez because of the work life balance they promoted now it has changed completely from their “core values”. Not to mention the thousands of complaints newrez doesn’t deal with and their processing turn times which they have claimed for years would be better. That’s a different story.

Pros

The only pros is that they will hire ANYONE and their weeks of training are paid.

Cons

Management will do anything to stop you from making bonus. Micromanagement in this company is horrible, they basically want you to be a slave of the job and they really dislike constructive criticism. They provide extensive useless training and all that matters to them is that every call is under 3 minutes, oddly enough they want the rep to ask the customer if " there's anything additional i can assist you with today?" or else points will be deducted and decreases bonus. ALMOST everything decreases your bonus. Supposedly they only audit a certain number of calls per month, but again, oddly enough, they only "audit" the calls in which you committed the more mistakes. Hence, less bonus. It's understandable that for security purposes they must be aware of what you're doing but for them to even know when you go to the restroom is another level of micromanagement. There's not only the stress of unable to assist the customer properly but also everything that management brings upon the employees. Save yourselves the stress, don't get employed here and if they service your loan, REFI ASAP, unhappy employees provide bad customer service.
