Pros

It is a great job for me to have straight out of college. Has great benefits, community of staff, and my own office. I also feel confident (during these uncertain times) that they are trustworthy and will provide me with job security.

Cons

It is a really big organization and can sometimes feel very disconnected. I also think they waste a lot of money.

Pros

The school has a good reputation in Electrical Engineering. The faculty is highly qualified. Some top tier schools may have more classes focused on your area of concentration, however you can most likely fill the requirements for a graduate degree with classes that are interesting to you. Plenty of connections with industry due to the centers associated with the university and the location. Many of the students have TAs, though some have RAs. If you would like to get a decent job after your graduation, my advice would be to make as many connections as early on possible. (Industry internships, etc.)

Cons

The degree alone will not be your pass into top companies (though the converse is true only for a few schools.)

Pros

The benefits are really good compared to other places of work. I get to go to school for free and my boss always lets me take off a day if I really need it. I am not sure if this is how it is for others. I also like working with students and people around the university.

Cons

I feel continually overworked. I am definitely underpaid. I often feel as if the senior management cares very little about the workabies in the organization. there is a clear line between the upper and lower management here. there is a clear wall between academics and administrators and nobody is willing to try and change this. The students are the ones who are ultimately affected by the Northeastern "shuffle"
