Pros

1. Team / Culture - The company values diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and heard, regardless of background or role. The workplace in Malaysia is known for its positive energy, with employees supporting one another both professionally. This creates an enjoyable and motivating environment. 2. Scope of work - The company in Malaysia offers a wide range of projects and opportunities, ensuring employees are exposed to diverse challenges and experiences. This allows individuals to grow their skill sets and keep things interesting. 3. Learning and potential - With clear pathways for progression, employees can expect to advance in their careers if they demonstrate initiative and results. The company actively promotes from within. 4. Onboarding Experience - The onboarding process in Malaysia is thorough yet efficient, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and supported from day one. New hires are provided with the resources and information they need to get up to speed quickly. New hires are paired with mentors who help them navigate the initial stages of their roles. This mentorship ensures smooth integration into the team and company culture. New employees are given structured training programs to help them understand the company’s tools, processes, and culture. This ensures they are well-prepared to contribute effectively.

Cons

Leadership and Working Style: If leadership tends to micromanage or is overly involved in daily tasks, it can lead to a lack of autonomy and lower employee morale. Leadership style might vary greatly between teams or departments, leading to confusion or lack of alignment within the company.

Pros

OKG is one of the best company who gives exceptional benefit to their employee. Salary is competitive. In Malaysia office, the culture is amazing and can really feel what we internally always said "we before me". CEO having a great vision and do care for the employee. From my view this OKG is having a bright future. In this company if you willing to grow you will surely have opportunity grow. OKG have 0 tolerance on sensitive information leak. The company is still expanding and there is alot of opportunities.

Cons

Statistic show 90% of the problem comes from the direct leader. But from my POV it's just different perspective we view things and its hard to fulfill everyone needs. Everyone make mistake and not everyone have a high EQ. Our Department have a Voice of employee for any improvement needed. Our voice is heard and give chances for people to improve themself. There is no telework available but the benefits is great enough to cover. The Malaysia office environment is tip top and well design, you will love it here if you are in.

Pros

A couple of things. Culturally, it's good that they provide free Udemy courses. You can select anything you want from Udemy. And, if you are up for constant learning and adaptation, this is the right place. The continuous change is very well managed, and you learn fast. Also, culturally, this place is very good. It's super strict in terms of work hours etc, but if anything is not right (e.g. you were abused by your manager or you are not treated well), the escalation process is quite fast, and there's also a whistleblower helpline, meaning you stay anonymous. The work scope is pretty fixed. If there's any scope creep, report it and it will be deleted from your scope. Potential to grow is quite big imo, since Web3 is here to stay and will only get bigger, although I am not sure yet what it will finally become. Leadership, at the highest level, is simply visionary. The CEO himself uses X/Twitter and takes feedbacks seriously, and only wants the best. However, for a more localized level, some the managers and leads might not share the same vision afterall. Hope this changes. Onboarding experience is quite good, but one of the managers for some reason made a remark that made me uneasy during the onboarding. Something like "If you do XXX, we will not hesitate to kick you out". Like, this is not your company so chill. But yeah, some really big mistakes can cost your career here. Pantry has a lot of free stuff, compensation is perfect. Most likely above a lot of averages out there.

Cons

- Sometimes the work just never stops, chokingly so. - Some managers can be quite hard to deal with, but good thing is you don't deal with them frequently - The workspace is pretty shared, almost like all levels can work together at any point. It gives an (illusion-like) sense of solidarity. It will be good if the solidarity is real, but this is really not easily possible anywhere.
