Pros

As my resume reflects I have over fifteen years in the field as a case manager. My duties have included offering therapeutic and life skill support to clients with various challenges from mental disabilities, homelessness, chemical dependence issues and compromising health conditions. I have facilitated individual counseling sessions, groups sessions including relapse prevention, and Daily living skill trainings. I have also assisted clients with their desired treatment planning and was responsible for updating progress documentation. Moreover I pride myself on working closely with my clients, managers and co-workers. I possess strong interpersonal, time management, and teamwork skills. I have a strong desire to help people make a difference with their lives

Pros

Agency is based on helping improve lives to those who suffer from substance abuse and mental illness. Great positive vibes from headquarters to the agency's multiple facilities in NYC. Great benefits from medical, dental, FSA, 403b, educational assistance. Wellness program initiative with free yoga, meditation, Zumba, health education, in-office massages and many more. Definitely blessed to work in Odyssey House with helpful, friendly and professional colleagues.

Cons

I have been waiting to get a raise to keep up with cost of living in NYC but to no avail to this day.

Pros

The Training done at this organization keeps you abrest of changes and keeps you sharp from a professional standpoint. Devoted individuals to recovery within the Treatment Phase learn how to mediate a balance in their lives in their quest towards recovery. THAT IS THE MAJOR BENEFIT .

Cons

The compensation is satisfactory. Promotions are available as well as 'perks,' that come for those diligently seeking to exhibit professionalism on a daily basis.
