Pros

The company is in a great location. It's small enough to feel connected to everyone. Most people are nice. The work environment is casual.

Cons

We are fading fast. We were really on an upswing with the prior leadership. We had an awesome engineering culture in the making. I thought we were on our way to becoming the best dev shop in Cleveland but we found a way to drive many good people away.

Not the worst, not the best

Pros

Work from home once a week. 20 PTO days starting off. The environment is relaxed with casual dress. Coworkers are friendly and happy to help.

Cons

Promotions are slim. Raises are slim. Bosses are not equipped for their position. Parking is very expensive on a day-to-day basis but add in game days or big concerts and you're looking at $20 parking.

Some good, but systemic cultural problems

Pros

OnShift has a decent office in a nice location downtown. Some teammates on the Customers Success team are wonderful and work very hard, more on that later. Early exit on Fridays is nice.

Cons

A lot of things about the culture at OnShift are very toxic. The CS team has been hired for a reason, but senior CS leadership tends to micromanage their employees. It is unreasonable to have the CS team track every minute of their 8-hour day, and eve if it is supposedly to help gauge when new staff is needed, it makes us feel like you don’t trust us.
