Pros

Good technology, and some very strong employees (though most are leaving, or have left)

Cons

Horribly mismanaged - Their K1 'masters' are 100% focused on EBIDTA, to the detriment of company growth; New CEO and CRO are completely out of touch with reality - replacing highly qualified, skilled employees and teams with cheaper, unqualified alternatives ... sadly, this company's future is looking grim :-(

RED FLAG!

Pros

The office spaces are really nice.

Cons

This place is the definition of a "Good ole boys club". Many of the team have moved with the CMO from company to company and the favoritism is obvious! Vendor invoices are always late causing important systems to be unavailable. Internet was out in one office due to a past due payment. Payroll was randomly delayed several times! There needs to be more structure and realistic goals. Process is not a thing here! If you go into the office, you will probably get Covid! You will not get a corporate credit card for travel! You use your money and it sometimes takes 3 months to get reimbursed! The diversity teams internal sponsors are mostly white men, that should explain the diversity efforts. Pay wasn't up to industry standards. Benefits are a joke!

Onit Response
3y
At Onit, we strive to create a culture of inclusivity and equity, and we are committed to continuous improvement related to processes, culture, and employee experience. We encourage our employees to refer smart, passionate, and driven individuals to Onit as we are a collection of curious and innovative problem solvers. We believe this is good for business, not a practice of favoritism. It's also critical that we address inaccuracies in reviews. Payroll delays were neither frequent nor random. Vendor invoices are paid and employee expenses are reimbursed. Like many companies in the current economy, we must make decisions that enable us to keep the business moving forward — but those decisions are never at the expense of our employees or our ability to serve our customers. Additionally, we take our employees' health and well-being very seriously and always ensure our offices are clean, comfortable, and safe.

Pros

Pretty diverse workforce and nice people when I started. They all got laid off four months into the job, though.

Cons

Onit is exactly what happens when you let a company run by zero diversity—funded by a VC firm with zero diversity—call all the shots. Super reactive, pendulum swing decisions are made with no regard for the bigger picture. Since I left, it’s only gotten worse, which is hard to imagine. Save yourselves. There’s absolutely no room for growth, and it’s a stain on your CV to admit having worked here.
