- I worked with Onward Search for more than a year. Unfortunately, the company is just lost and does not have good direction and their ethics are lacking at the senior leadership level. -They are extremely quick to fire recruiters for non-performance, even when those recruiters are faced with multiple problems including tools that don't work well, problems with metrics reporting, a lack of diversity in places to source candidates, a significant problem in the amount of roles in core areas being brought into the organization to fill. However, rather than seeing the problems for what they are (a significant downturn in economy, and extremely poor decision making in senior leadership) the company chooses to blame delivery and recruiting for nearly everything. -During my time with the company nearly all recruiters/account executives I knew were put on a performance plan or success journey. Many of them were fired. They weren't really offered any vast insight or training to improve metrics. I know of some who specifically asked to speak to senior managers multiple times for more insight and were completely ignored. These are individuals who had highly successful recruiting careers prior to coming to Onward Search. The company refuses to see that their process, tools, and metrics are a significant part of the problem. -The company recently rolled out new metrics, 2 fills a month per recruiter was the objective, but even when being met, people were removed from positions. -There is little to no management training or direction for managers in the organization. What you get, you have to reach out to people and find on your own. -Even executive leaders here are really not safe. I witnessed multiple people either removed from their roles, moved into new roles, fired, or who quit/ran during my time with the organization. -Burnout is really high. People live in a constant state of fear of losing their job, especially on the delivery (recruiting side).
