Pros

Was a great place to work. Zero Pros.

Cons

Changed sales goals & lower commissions. Stop sending reps to territory that can’t get installed. Unstable pay & raising the number of sales needed to meet highest tier, while lowering the pay when we are to work harder. The sales tools given to the direct sales reps are no longer competitive with the online offers & customer call-in sales. Give us better promotions. We also have to keep our customers for 6 months or get charged back if the customer leaves. It is ridiculous when I lose a customer because of the poor customer service given by the billing department, tech issues, etc. they cause DSR’s to lose $$! Stop trying to upsell once DSR’s have done their job! The calls after an install has been entered drive customers away & some leave because they don’t like to be bothered & hounded for upgrades! Things have gone from tolerable to really bad since Altice bought Suddenlink. Getting worse all the time. If Altice lies to investors when they went public with stocks it’s a good sign there’s a lack of integrity with Corporate. Each time there’s a financial issue they cut our pay, increase the sales quota & now DSR’s have to collect pre-payments. Ridiculous. I’m not a cashier/collection department.

Pros

Not Free but Steeply discounted service,

Cons

Where do I begin. Once Altice took over, there have been cuts all over the place. On top of the cuts, Other Techs left in fear of their jobs and found employment else where. Instead of hiring new people, they over load the remaining techs with so much work, that they are basically forced to work OT every day. When we hand back work, we are chastised for it. To them it doesn’t matter if you have things to do, you are their slave. There is no room for progression, and the criteria to get the SCTE courses are next to impossible to meet.

Pros

Ummm...benefits are good I guess.

Cons

Job security is nonexistent. Management is horrendous. Pay is...eh. You are just another number and not at all valued as an employee. If they think they can save a couple of bucks by outsourcing...they will do it in a heartbeat. Terrible hours. The worst communication between management and employees I have ever seen. HR is NOT on your side and will do everything that can to protect the higher-ups and make you look like the bad person.
