Pros

I feel this company genuinely cares about my career development and has sent me to multiple in-person training events over the years. Other companies I've worked at haven't been willing to invest in their employees like that. Management is extremely transparent with employees about the financial performance of the company, raises, and bonuses. They even talk openly about areas where they could be doing better and are looking to improve.

Cons

The base salary is a bit lower than the competitors, but this is more than made up for by the end-of-year bonus. Which is performance-based and is significantly higher than the competition.

Pros

Good pay, benefits, and flexible work schedule.

Cons

Like any bigger company, head office gets a lot of the promotions even if there are more qualified candidates. Comes down to who you know instead of good work ethic and past performance. Sad but happens at to many places, once you get into that upper management and 'untouchable' the work performance doesn't matter. Pass the information along to your manager and watch the bad performances get pay raises, hard to stay determined and care after watching this happen multiple times. A lot of not of my problem scenarios where the goal is to make $ while employee happiness is left at the wayside. Do OK work, get paid better, and repeat.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. While our roots in small-town Idaho certainly lent themselves to this perception in the past, we are working hard to ensure all our employees feel heard and recognized for their work at POWER. We appreciate the time you took to provide honest feedback—reviews like yours help us improve.

Pros

Culture and work life balance. Lots of work shared between offices so you get to work with a lot of different people. Lots of opportunity to travel and visit other offices as well as job sites. Very accommodating for personal needs. Recognizes hard and efficient work, seeks innovation.

Cons

Occasional longer days, but that's to be expected and isn't the end of the world, well worth it
