Pros

Love the atmosphere; very open communication; recognized for a job well done; in control of my store like its my own business; low stress.

Cons

Lots of promotions lately without posting to existing managers that there's an opportunity for advancement. It's very undiscerning and discouraging.

Hey Store Manager! On the last two promotion opportunities (buyer in Scottsdale, Market Manager in NC), we reviewed and interviewed every store manager who contacted us with interest in one of those positions. Can you contact me directly and let me know what roles you have in mind for yourself for the future? To be frank, when we have an opening, many times we aren't going to search for volunteers, the people who get interviewed are the ones who raise their hand and make the call and ask to be interviewed. Reach out to me when you get a chance so we can discuss: josh.patterson@petsensellc.com

Pros

Moved upward quickly, compensated for distance travelled.

Cons

Must completely dedicate to them. They will not work around other schedules very well and no matter how much time and commitment you've put into it, once you've stepped on someone's toes, you're done. They believe in soft management, which in my opinion, gets nothing done.

Hi Assistant Manager, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please reach out to me at josh.patterson@petsensellc.com so we can figure out a solution for you. The assistant manager role is full time and does require some nights and weekends, so in that regard, you are correct, if you have a competing work schedule, we will not work around that. If you have other scheduling concerns, we are happy to try and make any reasonable accommodations that will allow you to have a great work/life/family balance. Please reach out to me so we can find a solution.

Pros

Any job is better than no job. Atmosphere in store okay. Dealing with clients and SOME associates.

Cons

Manager at store level very immature, condescending, not capable of her responsibilities. All of this created an unsavory environment. Young crew, they are lazy, preferring to chat amongst themselves while more mature toil.
