It's okay but management out of touch

Pros

Beautiful work environment with many options for employment. The majority of the year it's got great weather if you can tolerate the summer months.

Cons

The staff is overworked, there are not enough front line employees for the work that is required to make it a world class zoo. Training of new employees is lacking. Management seems to be out of touch with cutting edge exhibits, even the newer exhibits are better but nothing spectacular or something that's not been done before.

Love my coworkers. If you put your head down and do not speak up at all it is bearable and you get to work with amazing people

Cons

Leadership is awful no one listens to keeper opinions. If we point out issues in new exhibits we get blacklisted. Asked for input and it's never taken.
