Pros

PlanMember really cares for its employees. They acknowlegde your accomplishments. Beautifully located on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. PlanMember offers many extra classes to help learn more about excel, time management, leadership skills and many more. They also encourage you to test and get your series licenses depending on your position within the company.

Cons

Not a whole lot of room for growth. The way the company is set up it's more of lateral movements and less of a promotion, UNLESS you aquire your licenses.

We are happy to hear that you’ve taken advantage of PlanMember’s EXTRA training classes. PlanMember believes it is our responsibility to do everything we can to empower employees to be more successful. This includes providing opportunities for professional development and support for employees that want or are required to earn one or more securities licenses. As a financial services company, employees with licenses naturally have more opportunities for professional advancement. Plus it makes good sense to get licensed because those employees have a better understanding of the industry and PlanMember’s unique place within it.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, flexible work environment, education and training support for employees. I appreciate PlanMember's visionary eye on the future and a unique business model that serves an underserved market: education and non-profit employees.

Cons

At times, internal bureaucracy and established processes can inhibit the ability for teams/employees to bring about change.

As an evolving company, PlanMember is growing. Our continued success requires that we listen to employees and their frustrations, suggestions and ideas. Bureaucracy and doing things the same old way inhibits change and PlanMember is working to break down these barriers.

Pros

Benefits and fellow workers are nice to your face.

Cons

They expect an awful lot yet the pay does not match the demand nor the cost of living for the area.

PlanMember understands that the Santa Barbara market, though it offers a high quality life style, also has a high cost of living. That’s why, in addition to competitive salaries, PlanMember provides other benefits that help employees maximize their income, including medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, pre-tax commuter benefits, discount programs and an employee assistance program, along with a generous retirement and vesting program and voluntary insurance plans such as Aflac.
