Pros

Nice coworkers, nice location, decent benefits,

Cons

Salary, rude employees are acceptable, do't get the sense that there is genuine caring of the employees- benefits or events are more just for show.

We’re sorry that your experience with PlanMember was not positive. Our goal is to treat every employee professionally and with respect, and to create a culture that fosters learning and growth. We value feedback that can help us improve the work environment at PlanMember. For example, we’ve recently implemented career development programs designed to cultivate peer communication, improve managerial skills, and more. If you’d like to share additional feedback, I would appreciate the chance to hear about it. Please contact me at angel@planmember.com. Thank you again for your comments.

Pros

PlanMember has an excellent location near Santa Barbara, CA, with offices overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The company is a market leader in providing a fee-based platform for independent financial advisors, with an emphasis on retirement accounts. PlanMember fosters a collegial environment and its small size creates a relaxed, unbureaucratic atmosphere.

Cons

As a consequence of being a small company, there is little upward mobility. While employees are encouraged to continue their learning through formal and informal paths, there is little financial or other reward for doing so. Management is somewhat secretive, but does communicate regularly on general topics of company-wide targets and strategy.

Small company, big heart! PlanMember is growing and with that growth there are many new opportunities for employees with thoughtfully considered career objectives. Please feel free to contact me about open positions.
