Pros

Aside from required meetings and trainings that were set, schedule is pretty flexible, however flexible you want it to be, if you invest your time to build a good work relationship with your BC/MT or BHT, it makes the job better, if you work well without a lot of interference, you'll get it here, can make a difference in the lives of others, good co-workers can make a big difference

Cons

Pay is low. When you get raises, it is framed as being appreciative of your work, but it is really catching up to what other agencies already pay. And when you do get a raise, you are told to keep it private and not share it with anyone. Benefits are expensive, BHTs lose a lot of hours due to cancelations, near a complete lack of support on challenging cases, no work/life balance, low pay compared to other agencies, no room for advancement aside from the lowest levels

Thank you for the review. We are glad you enjoyed the flexibility of the BC/MT position and the camaraderie from the coworkers that you interacted with. We were disappointed to hear about your other grievances. We want all employees to feel appreciated and supported, and we are sorry that was not reciprocated. We have shared your feedback with the management team.

Thank you for leaving a review. We are glad that you felt T.W. Ponessa & Associates was a good place to begin your career as an outpatient therapist. We recently raised rates for all outpatient therapists and lowered healthcare premiums or kept them at the same cost for all employees. We appreciate the feedback and have shared it with the administrative team. Thank you

Pros

Flexible Schedule, enjoy working with my clients and co-workers, ability to use PTO when I need.

Cons

The Cumberland/Perry branch has shown very concerning changes over the last 3 months. - High levels of micromanaging (even with very experienced clinicians that know what they are doing). - Little respect for clinician's clinical judgment in deciding titration or discharge of clients (huge emphasis on discharging all clients whether it is clinically appropriate or not). - Negative atmosphere. Huge loss in morale among employees with the changes that have been occurring over the last 3 months. Conversations and emails from above are now very negatively toned, and often framed as do what I say or there will be consequences. There is very low positive feedback provided to the clinicians, with huge emphasis on what you are doing wrong or should do better, despite those expectations not be clearly expressed before or never expressed before. - Feedback from clinicians to management is not respected, and management will be very dismissive about concerns provided, and ignore them. Management has a very condescending attitude towards employees and creates an atmosphere that makes employees feel unable to even approach management as a result.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your difficulty with the management change and will continue to work with that county to assist with the success of the transition. Though not ideal, there are typically some growing pains while staff learn to adjust to new supervisors as well as supervisors adjusting to staff. Often we discover some areas of growth during supervisor transitions and expectations that may not have been emphasized in the past start to be reinforced more closely as a fresh start. We understand this can tend to carry a negative introduction to the relationship. We will continue to assist all staff with effective and professional communication in order to establish a respectful working environment. Thank you
