Pros

Press Ganey used to have an amazing culture with a decent work life balance.

Cons

no worklife balance. employees are quitting and not being replaced causing the individuals still there to take on an even larger workload. People are working 60+ hours a week, but since we are all salary now, management no longer cares.

Thank you for the feedback. We encourage you to reach out to your manager about your current caseload. While April – June is a busy timeframe due to the seasonality of healthcare annual employee engagement surveys, we still recognize the importance of work-life balance and the need to decompress. Talk to your manager about leveraging our unlimited paid time off and getting a few days planned on the books, or flexible start/stop times during your day to make sure you are able to take breaks to recharge. Your health and wellbeing are top priorities for senior leadership and management.

Pros

Flexible time off, remote (unless you live near South Bend)

Cons

Where do I even start? The first red flag appeared during my first week when my immediate supervisor explicitly asked me not to disclose my salary to anyone. The second red flag came shortly after when the entire training department was laid off before my own training was complete. I didn’t feel adequately prepared for my role, but I managed to learn on my own with the support of my immediate team. The third red flag was the lack of work for the first few months—seriously, I was working maybe two hours a day—followed by an abrupt shift to an overwhelming workload and responsibilities. Things really went downhill about a year in with mass layoffs, a company-wide reorganization, and a platform migration all happening at once. As an account manager, I saw my role split into two positions: Engagement Specialist (ES) and Implementation Specialist (IS). I was placed in the IS role but stayed in contact with many ES team members. They frequently told me they were bored, had little to no work, and shared the frustration my fellow IS team members and I had about the complete lack of role clarity. We had been asking senior leadership for clarification on our roles for over six months. Eventually, we received a written statement outlining our responsibilities, but by then, the damage was done. The ES team remained idle, while the IS team was overwhelmed, handling what felt like 90% of the work. Ironically, the reorganization was supposed to ease the workload for account managers by splitting tasks, but it only made things worse. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire ES department was laid off in the future. Additionally, I’ve never had a more difficult immediate supervisor. She lacked basic people skills, often came across as insensitive, and on multiple occasions, gaslit me. I also witnessed her blatantly bullying another team member. Despite several complaints from myself and at least three other team members, she remains employed. It’s unfortunate because I was initially hopeful about my career at PG. I had an internal referral who had been with the company for a few years and even she had warned me that the company had been on a downward spiral. However, things seem far worse now than at any other time. Reading other one-star reviews makes me think, ‘YES, SAME.’ I even saw one review mention that the CEO asks employees to write five-star reviews, and I can confirm that’s true. As for the CEO, he’s no different from any other typical one—full of empty promises. Town halls where he spoke were unbearable. I’m so relieved I’ll never have to hear him spout his nonsense again. Good riddance. To anyone considering a role at PG, think again! Unless you're truly desperate for a job, avoid this company at all costs.

Pros

Not a one other than the people I work with. They are amazing.

Cons

Management doesn’t care about their employees. Once a company that was driven by success of both clients and employees now only care about the all mighty dollar. Decisions are made without employees in mind. Mid level managers are consistently being “let go” the position is then renamed and they hire in someone else with less experience to pay less. Very top heavy. Used to send out emails when new executives started, doesn’t anymore because people complained about why we have so many VPs when us in the back offices are struggling.
