Pros

The remaining associates who care about the company and its mission.

Cons

Did senior leaders do all they could before laying off people and making things worse? Did they try to find them new positions in the company? Did executives take a pay cut? Did the CEO take out a second mortgage loan on his $16,000,000 mansion? Did he sell the company's private jet?

Press Ganey Response

Thank you for your feedback. Please know that we hear your frustration about recent changes, and we take it seriously. Press Ganey went to great lengths to limit the number of employees whose jobs were impacted by cost-cutting, but unfortunately, some layoffs were still necessary. The decision was not made lightly and our focus is on supporting the employees impacted. We encourage you to find some time for a candid, confidential conversation with your manager or HRBP to discuss your concerns in more detail, or submit your thoughts via the anonymous employee survey we sent out after the most recent Town Hall. You are also welcome to speak with Nell Buhlman about your concerns; contact her executive assistant to be scheduled for an Office Hours discussion.

Pros

The mission of the company- to help improve healthcare - used to mean something, now its been distorted.

Cons

The company began its freefall in the first quarter of this year when the latest management took the reins. Executive staff were terminated and the spaces left filled with past work cronies and relatives, many with little to no healthcare experience to qualify them. In less than six months, the company's client base has shrunk, products have failed and many, many qualified people have left. It's really odd that the board has let them continue when we haven't seen any positive results to date. They talk a lot about respect but they don't seem to practice what they preach. Their attitude is condescending, patronizing and even degrading at times. Everyone seems to be overworked and micromanaged to the point that morale has reached subterranean levels. Not to mention, it looks like they are switching everything to be out of Chicago or Boston since they have new office spaces they are looking to fill. Raises the question if South Bend will just turn into some sort of service bureau with the company headquartered somewhere else... they don't seem to want to fill any new positions from within.

Pros

HX townhall event is inspiring. They have a monopoly on the PX market which creates some interesting opportunities.

Cons

Very few people looking at what's right for the company, rather everyone is looking over their back, and plotting how to climb a monarchy style corporate ladder. Senior leadership absolutely uses and abuses staff. It was a war of attrition to see who could put up with the most abuse whilst knuckling down and completing tasks with no opportunity for personal development. Do not work here. As a monopoly in their industry, this has created a poisonous work culture right throughout the business.
