Pros

Truly there were no pros that outweighed how horrible the cons were.

Cons

Unprofessional, unorganized, lack of morals, you will be overworked, extremely unhealthy work environment…I could continue with this list for days. Worked here for 2 years and was laid off one random Monday due to budget cuts, after being told for months that the company was not making ANY budget cuts. The call where they let me go, was completely unscheduled. I received a scripted call from upper management one day from someone I’d never worked with saying I was losing my job. During this call, they simultaneously took away all access to my computer so I wasn’t even able to say goodbye to the team I worked with for 2+ years. I was working 70+ hrs some weeks and it was going completely unnoticed and unappreciated. I was actually told that they thought I could do more. “Management” is an actual joke if you even want to call them that. I caught management and team leads LYING and/or throwing me or other coworkers under the bus for their own mistakes on FREQUENT occasions. I reported this to hr and management multiple times but nothing was ever done (shocker). Management favors their friends and family and are extremely petty. The business as a whole has zero empathy for their workers and will play dirty to save themselves. Also the severance package that they offered us and said “would take care of us like we are still their family” was, in total, a little less than 2 weeks worth of pay to find a new job with absolutely zero notice prior that we were losing our job. Disheartening and shame on you prolink. If you need one sign not to work for this company THIS IS IT. RUN. DO NOT WORK HERE.

Thank you for your feedback. We can hear and feel your frustration and wish it had been a better experience. Despite how you're feeling, we're here to support you as you transition. Adjusting to significant shifts in the market did not make it easy to make the tough decisions we did. We recognize the enormous impact this has on our people and we took extreme care to put together separation packages that went beyond just base pay. As the market continues to change, new opportunities may open up and we encourage you to consider finding a role that may be a better suit for your interests and skills. If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, we invite you to reach out to our Human Resources team at hr@prolinkstaff.com today to discuss more.

Stay Far Away

Pros

Can’t think of anything recent

Cons

Extremely manipulative - after working here for around 3-4 years and building a book of business, the company can and will decide to cut commission by over 50% for current books of business. I’m guessing their lack of innovation within an ever changing market started to hit the pockets of the decision makers, and instead of focusing on improving process to increase revenue across the board, completely gutting the producers pay seemed like the right decision. For example - a recruiter running with a book of business totaling out at 10 talent on assignment, you used to be able to expect around $100 per week, per talent and on assignment. The new pay package would average out at about $42 per talent, per week. That’s actually well over a 50% pay cut. If your talent on assignment misses any hours that they are expected to work that week, you will not be paid out for management over that talent as well, so even more opportunities for things to be completely unpredictable and stressful. For those looking to come into the company, if you are shooting to get slightly above the company average of 10 TOA - you can expect to make around $60,000 per year before taxes. This will take many 12 hour days and working on the weekend to achieve, so if you plan on averaging it out based on an hourly pay, you may be better off working pretty much anywhere else.

Hi. We value the input of our employees, especially those who have been with us for close to half our lifetime and appreciate your feedback. While it is never easy to discuss compensation, our leaders have been transparent when making necessary changes and the why behind them which are often dictated by the market. Decisions like these are never easy or are made lightly and always consider market rates, competitor salaries and our company's health to strike the right compensation for our team. Assuming that these decisions were made to "provide passive income" for leaders is unfounded and simply untrue. Our leaders work hard to assist in everyone's success and overall longterm growth and performance of the company. We understand that this tough market can cause a lot of overwhelming feelings and hope you will reach out to your manager or our HR Team to discuss your frustrations and get clarity around compensation.

Do not work in compliance

Pros

Work from home is the only pro

Cons

Toxic management and leadership in compliance. Leadership is extremely unprofessional. Gossips about employees, blatant favoritism, micromanaging. Will purposefully overwhelm employees and give no help when requested. Upper leader will have anger fits without warning or reason. HR does nothing about this. In fact you will feel retaliatory behavior if you speak to HR. Fear based culture. The culture they speak about does not exist in this department. This department has become a revolving door since new leaders have been brought in. Now outsourcing due to bad financial decisions and high turnover rate. No real way to get promoted unless you pretend to like the management. Nothing is based on performance. They consistently promote employees with history of incompetence because they are friends. Many employees have left over severe mental health issues due to this behavior. Very sad to see how bad this department has become in a few short years of bad management. Do not work here.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. It is never our intention to make our employees feel overwhelmed or fearful. If there ever is a circumstance in which team members feel this way, we do encourage any one to reach out to the HR team to address the situation. If you feel the HR team isn't addressing it appropriately, escalating it to our Chief People Officer can be helpful. Our hope is for employees to express their concerns so we can help address them as they're happening. We offer programs such as EAP and FMLA in times of mental health crisis and will continue to utilize the thoughts of current and former employees to improve the workplace.
