Pros

It was near my house.

Cons

Don’t believe anything said, get everything in writing, and lawyer up, affiliate terminals are not required by Quality Carriers corporate to follow through on any of the recruitment enticements. No sign-on bonus, hometime, earned vacation, insurance, arbitrary pre-trip charges, yearly, monthly, weekly income fluctuations; if you made good money at your previous driving job…you won’t find it here. QC (LMI) prides itself on being stingy; there was not one driver here that could honestly say he’s done as well as the year before, or the years before that. No new equipment, wash your own hoses and fittings. In steady decline, you can expect to find an extra hand in your pocket on payday.

Pros

The pay is okay and benefits are somewhat affordable

Cons

This company is all about the bottom line, the almighty dollar. Don't let them fool you with "employee oriented". When there was a hurricane coming we were told " Safety first, but remember that tomorrow is a work day and you are expected to come in". They pigeon hole employees. They, meaning management, gossip about employees. Pay raises are almost non existent although they are promised. You have to know someone or garner favoritism to succeed in this company. They claim they considered their employees when they decided to move their office. The new commute will add a lot of time to about 50 % of the employees commute but it will place management near their favorite restaurants. I would have to say that overall this has been a very painful experience and I am actively looking for a way out as are a lot of my fellow workers.
