Pros

The office has a pleasant ambiance. Coworkers are approachable.

Cons

The atmosphere at the Capitol Canary was toxic and the company is full of negative people. Management breeds a toxic atmosphere and was incredibly dismissive and undermining. We are made to feel worthless and often told to not have opinions. Compensation is also very low for 2024 and expect you to work long hours, which translates to working for less than minimum wage. Morale is at an all-time low. In short, I would never work for them again. Mental health is above all. Capitol Canary does not seem to believe in that.

Pros

Pretty good benefits and pay, flexible remote work, impactful projects that see customer impact.

Cons

Not a lot of good cultural events for engineers - I didn't end up meeting many people outside my team. Also, they recently had a big round of layoffs (of which I was a part)
