Pros

As you've read in the other reviews they do have free lunchs - and good ones at that.

Cons

RJ Corman was the worse work environment I've ever worked in! ! The cult of personality mentality is nauseating. Much of MGMT including executive level - untrustworthy, incompetent and unethical. With the exception of the review "Let's set the record straight", the reviews presented are accurate and pretty much tell the day to day. Oh, and the 401k?! Doesn't vest until 7 years - 70%(plus) of employees don't make it past their 5th year. Do the math. If you have other options - steer clear!

Pros

If you really care about a free lunch, then this place is for you! A great 401k plan....if you can put any money into it...if you have any left after bill and expences. Some good people, the manager i worked for was 100% railroad and knew his stuff.

Cons

Well lets get comfy shall we? Lies about starting wage, was promised 21$ and got 18.... benefits are lousy, ill bet Corman has his own.He sure as heck dont use the one he avails to employees 24/7on call operation..for 18?..no thanks, ill go to a class one for that! As for a fitness manager...i go to my own gym, folks down i nicholasville need to look outside at their heros other operations. Radio system and most dispatchers are terrible.....know the territory your working! Dont mention the U word.....you will be fired!

Pros

A really good lunch provided for free. They care about the health and wellness of their employee's and provide a state of the art gym and various physical fitness classes with instructors! Have exciting growth opportunities. 100% 401K Matching..who does that anymore? Great people who are dedicated to their company and have various backgrounds and skills sets which make them valuable in their current role as well as roles they are given. Small in size which provides opportunites to excel quickly with the right attitude. They do a personality test because they want to hire the right canidate the first time. Strong support in the local community and other communities. Hardwork and dedication doesn't go unnoticed it does get rewarded! They truely do live the vision of putting customers and employees first. If they didn't their expectations wouldn't be so high. Anyone who owned their own business should have the same expectations. But sadly most companies don't which is why some much business goes to other countries now days. Anyone you talk to who knows about R.J. Corman has nothing but positive things to say about the company and the respect for what Mr. Corman brings to the state of Kentucky. The company has a family feel but if very different than anywhere else you will ever work. Beautiful and clean campus and walking trail ...Where you can ride bikes during lunch. You never get board with your work because you never know what you might be called to do which offers experience in other areas of the business.

Cons

Company benefits could be more competitive to better attract and retain new talent especially with the growth potential the company has.
