Pros

-Easy foot in door if you would like experience -Some managers are supportive, understanding and disagree with the unfairness -Need an adequate enough job to pay some bills but not career advancement within the company? This is your place.

Cons

- Long hours and packed schedule. They don't leave enough time for each exam guaranteeing a delay. You get to hear patients complain and the management! - They don't always properly train you through exams and protocols but if the techs make a mistake, they love blaming them and making them feel inadequate. - Majority of the Radiologists here are impersonal, so they sometimes like to pick on techs for small mistakes or even sometimes when there are no mistakes. -Corporate does not like to spend money on its employees. With a nationwide operation and networking in millions, they are stingy. Their pay is minimal, they will randomly put restrictions on overtime, there are no bonuses (but we have to perform at our 100% and be on time with schedule), and there is no raise annually. You have to fight for a raise and even then sometimes it is falsely promised.

Pros

Techs with little or no experience can gain experience working at one of the busy NYC metro area network sites.

Cons

After Radnet took over these sites salaries have been cut for experienced techs and low wages only attract employees with little to no experience. Disorganized management and disgruntled inexperienced coworkers. No opportunities for real growth or raises.

Pros

Free parking. They will hire with no experience, great way to get a foot In the door of scheduling and coordinating. Busy centers, different types of exams to gain insurance knowledge. If you want work there you can work in a hospital. The center I worked in we saw sometimes over 100 patients in a day, good way to get fast. Stick it out for a year and get a better job.

Cons

Poor pay. Never got a raise. Very high turnover. Management is all friends/family and couldn't care less. No integrity. Only cares about numbers. In 12 hour scan day we would see sometimes over 24 MRI Patients. If a patient couldn't complete an exam (claustro, implants etc) management BLAMED THE STAFF! And wanted to know why we didn't meet the days quota... Very low moral. Poor culture. No matter what you did they wanted to know why we had cancelations or no shows and why our numbers weren't up.
