Pros

Great technology, fantastic people, challenging work environment

Cons

Low pay compared to the rest of the market. The culture clash between overseas headquarters and the US is constant and leads to operational inefficiencies in every aspect of the US business. Very poor sales leadership. Constant turnover. No coherent sales or product strategy. This company talks a great game, but they don't have it where it counts.

Women - apply here! Great culture

Pros

Amazing company that works to make sure their employees are very happy. Yes, we have a ping pong table, but that isn't our main hiring point. The culture invites collaboration and feedback, while also making sure you are where you need to be professionally. Redgate values hard workers that do what they say they're going to do. Also, I am a woman. I came from an entirely different industry where, frankly, women are not treated well. At Redgate, I've never felt more welcome and accepted at a job. My opinion is valued. I highly encourage women to apply here. This review goes for the entire company, not just the Austin office.

Cons

Hasn't happened yet, but there will be growing pains soon at the Austin office. Not a bad thing in my opinion.

Your Redflag before considering a sales role

Pros

- Longtime customer base - Certain products solve real customer problems - Flexible work environment - Some people are pleasant to work with

Cons

- Mass, un-announced layoffs in US sales amidst company efforts to 'Amplify America' - Ramp time is VERY long - budget at least 12 months before receiving real commission - Quota attainment and compensation both well below industry average - No repeatable process for pipe-gen - Lack of product-market fit in the enterprise segment - Sales leadership lacks field experience outside of Redgate - No proven path for upward progression - Pronounced disconnect between decisions made in the UK HQ and the state of the US market
