Pros

Nurses work hard and work together to care for patients

Cons

So many things wrong here I don't even know where to start. Number one problem that we always have had and seem to continue with is bad management, it seems to be a pretty common theme throughout all of the review I've read about Renown. Bad managers, bad HR that supports bad managers, this is true and one of the main reasons they are having trouble retaining their best people. It is becoming an entire hospital of new grad nurses and travelers, where is the stability. If they ever hope to make this a great place that can keep people then they should start listening to the ones who work here, and realize that bad management will ultimately destroy ever dept., and retrain HR because in my experience they have never supported employees, just side with the management, and really don't seem to care how many good people they lose. Im not happy working here and I don't recommend this hospital to anyone, they have a long way to go, and progress seems very very slow, like they need to lose so many people to open their eyes.

Pros

nothing I can think of, it was a bad experience from the beginning to the end that only got worse with time

Cons

This overwhelmingly stressful work environment caused my health to decline overtime, I had to leave, there was no other way. Both my MD and my Psychologist told me the only way I would ever recover would be to leave my hostile negative work environment. The things this company put me through really took a toll on me after a couple of years. No one can remain in a state of high adrenaline and stress all day every single day, the human body is not built to endure it nonstop. This is what Renown did to me everyday. The workload is way higher than any other hospital, and I know because I worked at two different hospitals before Renown, way too much work is given to one person, and don't you dare ever say that it its too much, no, don't you dare be honest and straight forward with the management. This is where the pyscological abuse comes into play. I was considered a bigtime trouble maker because I dared to speak up and say something about our work conditions, I wanted to make suggestions and see if our entire team could work together somehow just to make our daily tasks more tolerable. OH NO! this was a huge mistake, I became a target, and the management manipulated my co-workers into treating me like I had the plague, everyone avoided me. All of this combined, too much work and mental stress finally gave me hypertension and anxiety, thankfully I can report that since leaving the company my health is improving, and I have gained my quality of life again. I hope more people are brave enough to reclaim there lives if the abuse will not stop. In the end you will be thankful that you did, believe me I am a witness.

A COMPANY THAT SEEMS DEDICATED TO DESTROYING PEOPLE

Pros

I don't want to fill out this part, what are the pros of working here? I have an occupation, I guess?

Cons

Bad management, Too much work for one person to handle. An HR employee who knows nothing about your work can judge you. Those of us who are in the trenches everyday doing the crazy work and making this company exist get destroyed by the office workers who are clueless what it is like to be in our shoes day to day. The managers are people from outside who sit at a desk and never experience our jobs, we work so hard for everything we have and then we can thrown away for something so small. Everything you work hard for in this company can be lost for nothing, maybe you just offended or did not agree with your leader, they will find a way to get rid of you. I see this game being played all around, backstabbing seems too be the culture here, it is a very cutthroat place. People lose there livelihood, honest hardworking people, I feel so sad everyday I come to work and think this is a hospital, we are supposed to be here to care for people, yet such evil takes place here .
