I can also set up time for you to speak to team members from our training team if you see gaps in our blended learning models to support our staff in their roles. I know they would welcome the feedback!
I hope this doesn’t come off defensively because we should all be open to criticism and see the opportunities to learn, but I was very confused by some of your comments. For example, we've received very positive reviews about training support and our blended learning model has a 97% training satisfaction rate from our educators and program managers. We want our educators and program managers to feel confident in their role day one, so we provide over 20+ hours of online and live training before a new team member steps foot in program. We also offer additional training courses throughout the school year, so staff have an opportunity to continue their growth and development on an ongoing basis. Just recently we added a new micro learning program called, “Just in time 9s” which offers condensed trainings to all staff based on specific topics, many of which came from our field staff. So, if you see additional gaps, again, I would very much like to connect you with our training team. As for shift hours and Covid, we know this year has been tough. With Covid, the hours we are able to offer staff this school year have been limited further as a result of student enrollment and necessary program models put in place to keep children and staff safe during the pandemic. If you have recommendations for how we can make this better, I would very much like to talk. I am also super sorry to hear your comments about your experience with program directors - please email me so we can set up a time to talk about your personal experience. I find our program directors to be thoughtful, open leaders. But if you’ve experienced anything else, I’d love to hear about it. We do have strict standards to be sure - we are entrusted with the well-being of children, so we can be sticklers for certain practices and policies, but again, I hope you’ll reach out so I can honestly and openly hear your thought.
