      Too good to be true

      Pros

      Awesome engineering culture and flexibility when you have appointments or errands to run during the day. Lots of smart and genuinely awesome people who work there and a lot of complex problems to solve.

      Cons

      Lots of attrition even before the “great resignation”, which hurts morale. Oftentimes no sense of direction due to constantly pivoting business goals. BE PREPARED. They just laid off 25% of their workforce after a huge hiring spree in 2021. If you are accepting a job there, keep your resume up to date and even keep interviewing. They spend money like no ones business and don’t earn it back in revenue. When they say they are growing, they have overestimated how many they needed to hire to increase their revenue and ended up laying them off 3-12 months later.

      Secretive environment, poor pay, disorganized, not a very tech advanced claims area despite the startup Branding. there’s no transparency around pay and no bonuses

      - Ability to work from home - Good benefits, 5 weeks PTO - Strong culture, employee are generally friendly - Good Work/Life balance

      Cons

      - Low Pay, annual performance raise is a joke - Promotions are based on politics rather than merit/experience - Lot's of changes due to growing company
