Over the last few years the company has changed drastically. It's hard to believe the owners have allowed it to deteriorate as it has. The saying used to be "have fun and make money." Most will tell you that there's not much fun anymore.
When HR is contacted about situations (harassment from superior), and nothing appears to be done about it ... something is wrong. When the subject of that situation leaves company, and then the company rehires that individual ... something is wrong. When the subject of that situation has apparently had issues with other employers (a pattern of behavior) ... something is wrong.
From what I've observed, from action and verbiage, they also discriminate against age.
Please let me be clear, these are my opinions. Some I've experienced, what I've not experienced have been experiences reported to me from those who wouldn't lie to me.
They have deducted money for missing deposits, which I can understand ... when they can prove it. But whether they can prove it, or not ... too bad, it can come out of your check. (Just beware.) If it wasn't so serious, it could be funny, how many ways they can take money out of your check. Unbelievable.
Oh ... and ... Big Brother is watching. They have cameras in all the stores. They are watching. Personally, I didn't care that they were, I wasn't going to do anything wrong. It's just how it makes everyone feel ... they trust NO ONE.
I could go on, but let it suffice ... there are a lot of "Cons," and not many "Pros."
At one time, it was a company that had a heart for it's people. In the last couple years, the shifting in upper management has been devastating. Employees have turned into a number. Employees feel it. I believe Jeff & Kym appreciate their employees, but they've handed too much power & authority over to the next level of management, and that level, & the next, are destroying the company. When employees don't feel appreciated, & when they feel like a number, you're not going to get the desired results.
It's a sad demise of a once good company.
