Pros

Senior management shows care and appreciation for their employees: employee appreciation days, summer hours, events which include employee’s families, a culture committee, etc. The company provides all employees with an annual survey where the results, in most cases, are higher than the industry benchmark and improving year over year. For areas where there is weakness and/or negative employee comments, HR / Management takes direct action to improve. From what I can tell, salaries and benefits are extremely competitive within the industry. Work / Home-life balance is very important to the company, where flexibility of scheduling / working from home is an option for nearly everyone in the office. The company shares their targets and strategies with the entire population, and welcomes input.

Cons

As in every industry, sometimes it takes more effort and time to obtain net-new business as clients become more knowledgeable, and competition becomes more frequent. My personal opinion, SRS has the right strategy, innovation and quality to be a growing company for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your SRS experience, which we are pleased to hear has been so positive. As I’ve said before, we may be a technology company, but it’s the people behind the technology that really differentiate us. Thanks for being one of those dedicated people! Pros

If you enjoy being miserable at a job - this is the spot for you! 12+ hour work days and weekend coverage. Mediocre benefits. A really nice office that someone was definitely fired for dumping too much money into.

Cons

When you have down time, it's nice to talk to real people about things you have in common. At SRS be as phony and fake to fit a boring person mold, if not start looking for a new job. Are you looking for a job with longevity? Don't go here as the company may have 1-2 years of life left. And if the company doesn't fold, they will find a way to get rid of you if you deserve more money. Everyone is trying to make their teams look good but mess up each other's agendas which causes angry clients to leave. The product is so terrible and keeps getting worse as no one looks to fix the problems with it. Everyone just wants to add more garbage and not look into what's wrong with it... Great plan! Hackathon's? Why don't you try fix-a-thons and see who can resolve the employee complaints fastest? All of the smart management got out. Now you have a bunch of people managing other people who all have no idea what they are doing. Your team will have at least 3 people mangers and some "senior" employees who act like they are in charge. Management even has their own personal snitch who stabs EVERYONE in the back.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m a bit taken aback, because I am constantly amazed at the can-do spirit that fills our halls. Since you are still part of Team SRS, I hope you will take advantage of the many feedback tools we have in place. We want to hear more specifics so we can clarify any misperceptions – and fix anything that is wrong. Thanks to the candid insights from our clients and the dedication of our employees, we have taken SRS to new heights. Our HCIT solutions are truly better than they’ve ever been! The future for SRS is brighter than ever, and we hope you will be part of it. Please, come speak to me so that your ideas can be part of our continued success. Sincerely, Scott Ciccarelli, CEO

Once was great

Pros

This company still has employees filled with nostalgia about how great things used to be. Hard working, intelligent individuals who want to make things great again. You can feel how much they care about what they do.

Cons

This company has been in decline since it was sold in 2011. There are no new sales, and recurring revenue is shrinking as the market consolidates further. Those who remain should consider how long they can be unemployed if they get laid off or the company is sold. The opportunity to reclaim market share has long since past. Employees continue to be laid off, and the usual justifications are given. Long term employees have seen the writing on the wall and continuously jettisoned over the last 24 months. Executives have turned over consistently. Can't find a competent sales leader, and a developer who knows nothing about operations is in charge of that team because they can't afford to pay an operations leader.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at SRS. I wish I knew when you left, because there have been a lot of changes -- for the better! It’s true that, like others in the industry, our company went through some tough times, but we came through it stronger than ever. The result: happier employees, better products, more satisfied clients…and, most importantly, increased protection of the doctor-patient relationship. On top of all that, we were recently recognized by KLAS with top scores for Orthopaedics and Ophthalmology. We know constant innovation is not easy, but it’s in our DNA -- and we are incredibly grateful to the people on our team who turn those ideas into reality. I’m sorry you are no longer here to experience this firsthand, but I thank you for your contribution to our success and I wish you the best in your current and future endeavors. Sincerely, Scott Ciccarelli, CEO
