Pros

• Able to chat freely with guests and other coworkers

Cons

There are barely any benefits to working here. The fast-paced environment, with additional difficulties whenever a tech issue arrives, makes the situation more frustrating. Tech support is unreliable at most times during any hardware or software issue. A problem that takes around 5 to 10 minutes to fix usually takes about 30 to an hour. Often, the situation is resolved by another employee. However, IT takes full credit once it is fixed. While this only sometimes happens, mentioning it would be a good idea since this situation has transpired multiple times. The props used within the game and body trackers seem to act like they are held together by ducktape and glue. Most of the props are easily damaged and can easily fall apart. Getting replacement parts is nearly impossible as they are shipped to our store within two months. The fast-paced working environment is understandable. Being unable to eat lunch or dinner during a 7-hour shift is not. Most employees go hungry during their shifts with no breaks. There were multiple instances where I could not be given a lunch or dinner break due to a busy schedule. At one point, I was even rushed to eat dinner before immediately coming back on floor. No employee deserves this treatment; this might have been illegal if I had been working full-time. The only benefit that ordinary employees get is a work shirt of limited sizes and six free games within the year. Overall not worth it due to previously mentioned cons.

Pros

Everyone on the team responsible for the experience of our guests is capable and constantly there for you, assisting with whatever is needed to help make a chaotic day go as smooth as possible. It's also incredibly easy to get patrons excited about getting geared up for a unique group VR game experience.

Cons

Low pay (recently cut for new employees), unhelpful/downright antagonistic middle and regional management, harmful policies that deny the employees hard-earned bonuses, store manager denied me the right to take a prescribed medicine needed to be taken with food at lunch time for over 3 hrs and when I asked at that third hour I was frustratedly dismissed and sent home early. Additionally, when a family emergency came up and I made sure my store's team would be able to assist me in getting the week covered, our regional manager, who spends no time in our store, did everything in her power to deny me the time off without so much as reaching out to me.
