Pros

After spending years in another industry, changing my career path to Schellman has been so rewarding. The company culture is unmatched with a true inclusive feeling. And, not just from a DEI standpoint (although that is top-notch) the amount of transparency from the CEO down amazing. In addition, leadership actively asks for employee feedback and address and implements feedback received. For example, parental leave was recently expanded due to employee feedback. Benefits have been enhanced, including a $1,000 bonus at the 5-year mark.

Cons

I'm a 100% remote worker, and sometimes I really miss the office environment where employees are able to chat and bond a little more.

Pros

Excellent leadership Friendly and helpful teammates True Work/Life balance Unmatched benefits I've worked for a couple great companies over the years, but Schellman is hands down the greatest! From the CEO down, everyone is approachable, personable, helpful, and authentic. My manager provides excellent feedback and ensures we communicate about what I need to be successful in my role. Schellman promotes professional development and encourages giving back by offering VTO (Volunteer Time Off ) in addition to coordinating a day that the entire company volunteer. While the benefits are amazing, it's the culture here that fulfills me. I feel welcomed; I feel like I belong; and I feel valued and appreciated.

Cons

I can't think of anything to mention.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are really glad to hear that you are enjoying our benefits package. We are proud of the benefits we offer, and we continue to improve each year with additional offerings, based on feedback from our employees. The company retreat is a great time to network and/or just “reboot”. We hope you were able to enjoy this year’s trip to Mexico or time off if you couldn’t attend! We have grown quickly over the last couple of years, and it has presented some challenges. In the most recent employee survey, we heard similar feedback that employees are looking for more ways to stay up to date and connected. We have created a few focus groups to develop actions plans tied to increasing communication, culture building, and collaboration. These focus groups have been working over the last couple of months to put action plans together that will be shared at an upcoming All Hands Call. If you have ideas that can help make our teams feel more connected, we encourage you to reach out to our executives and share those ideas at feedback@schellman.com or email me to join one of the focus groups.
