Good Flexibility but Not The Best Pay

Business Outlook

Pros

I love the flexibility of the job and how nice management is.

Cons

I have been working here for over 2 years and have not received any monetary raise. Any time I ask about, I get told my position only pays what they currently pay me. I know I am worth more than I was on day 1. United Healthcare Insurance has a bad deductible.

Hi, Thank you for sharing your thoughts—we’re glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience with flexibility and supportive management at Scorpion. At the same time, we understand how important it is to feel recognized for the growth and value you bring over time, especially as an SEO Specialist. Ranking is one of the most important aspects for our clients, and we appreciate the level of skill you bring to the job each day. Compensation is something we regularly review, and we’re continually working to improve how we approach career development, pay progression, and recognition at every level. We also understand that benefits like healthcare are a meaningful part of the employee experience. While we know there’s always room for improvement, we evaluate our benefits regularly to ensure we’re offering options that support the diverse needs of our team, so thank you for providing feedback about the deductible. If you're open to sharing more, we’d truly appreciate the chance to learn from you—please feel free to reach out to AmyL@scorpion.co. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective.

Best Job I've Ever Had...with notes

Anonymous employee

Pros

-Great flexibility and unbeatable work/life balance -Kind, hard working and helpful team members -Paid-for WFH equipment, including a standing desk -Paid-for cell phone & phone plan -Paid-for health/vision/dental premiums -Good pay if you live in a LCOL area -I admire the customer service aspect we provide to every client even though we work with thousands of them and remembering there are business owners and families making a living behind each of these accounts.

Cons

- Your work will be pretty surface level with little skills gained to take you anywhere beyond your role. You’re really on your own as far growing your skill set and maintaining relevance in your industry. - You may get a chance to move up if someone leaves, which can take years but that only speaks to how good employee retention is here. However, I think new there's room for new roles too. - Completely reinventing our work processes 2 or more times a year is kind of excessive. However, the most recent updates have made a huge, net positive impact on efficiency and hope things don’t change too much from here. I have deep appreciation for the team that made it happen. - I can empathize with a lot of the grievances that tanked the company's glassdoor ratings over the past few years. There were some difficult and uncertain times back in 22/23, but I can say that things have felt a lot more stable since, and a good review is deserved. Overall I find that the pros far outweigh the cons
