Work/Life Balance Nonexistent

Pros

The staff, and colleagues are the best part of Sedgwick. Your team will make working here seem doable because they are such great people.

Cons

Overloaded case files and high turnover. Management is not flexible or pro-employee. They overpromise to clients and demand that employees work longer hours consistently to get their work done. No work-life balance had managers that were so overworked they hadn't used their PTO in months. People need to decompress and not be made to feel guilty for using their PTO. Having to work overtime with no pay because this position is salaried. You may get a gift card, but you will be taxed on it as income.

Pros

- Turnover due to low pay along with rapid-growth allows for quick upwards mobility. They will give you the promotions when you're ready. - Leadership is usually nice and sets a good tone. - Great benefits for those with chronic illnesses or disabilities.

Cons

- A LOT of work due to constant turnover. You will always be busy. - Pay is way below market. Fully expect to make the equivalent of a whole level under you (i.e. Manager expect Senior pay). I left and nearly doubled my pay and most places were offering me 65%+ increases. - Concerns around comp and benefits are generally ignored. If not, leadership will throw bones to try and make people forget, but it's failing in the current market. - Leadership does not hold company-wide firesides nearly enough. 1 per year at most. Most correspondence is through emails few read.

Pros

Flexibility and PTO are great benefits of the company. In addition, work from home

Cons

High stress levels and constant demands from upper leadership. Not up to market pay- YOU'RE VERY MUCH UNDERPAID AND OVERWORKED. It's hard to establish a worklife balance. While you're scheduled to work 7.5 hours per day, you could work 10-12 hours easily.
