We appreciate your feedback, and regret that your experience with our organization has not been positive. We highly value the contributions of our caregivers, who have a direct and positive impact on the people we are honored to serve every day. As a human services organization, we rely on government funding to support the work we do, and the rates we receive for services have an impact on the compensation we provide. We understand that although jobs in human services are rewarding, they can also be demanding, and we continuously advocate for rate increases that we can pass along as pay increases to our employees. In addition, although we do not have a formal annual raise program, we do offer a bonus program for direct care professionals. Under this program, if you are an employee in a direct support role who has at least one full fiscal year of service with the company, you are eligible to receive an annual bonus when your state achieves their performance goals for the year if you are in good standing as an employee. If you are unfamiliar with this program, or would like to learn more, we encourage you to reach out to your local HR contact for further details. Thank you sharing your thoughts, and for all that you to do support the individuals we serve.

Pros

Amazing clients who deserve better care. Like a previous reviewer said, it is the only reason people show up to work.

Cons

Let's see... The houses are perpetually understaffed because you can make more money working at McDonalds. Literally. And the management keeps it that way. There are shifts in my house that have been vacant for almost a year. A year! And no one has even tried to fill them! That means week in, week out, certain clients have regularly been without regular staff! But I guess it saves the corporate structure some money, so it persists. No big deal, especially when no one from the Mentor Network corporate side has to ever see the people I work with. I have worked for other Human Service companies in different states, and the Mentor Network is easily- hands down- the WORST one I have ever worked for.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that staffing issues are a challenge and how important it is to have consistent staff to support the individuals we serve. While we are working on many initiatives to address our vacancies, please rest assured our Managers along with our HR team are working diligently to fill any and all vacancies. Our mission is to provide high quality services and supports to the people we are honored to serve, and we greatly value the employees who join us in that mission. As you indicated in your review, the individuals we serve are a primary reason our caregivers enjoy working here. The human services industry relies on state or government funding, including organizations such as ours. The rates we receive for services have an impact on the rates we are able to provide to caregivers. We are continuously advocating for increases to the overall pay given to caregivers and employees in the human services industry. Thank you for sharing your input with us, and for all that you do in your role. We encourage you to share any further feedback you may have with your supervisor or local HR contact.

Pros

Steady Hours, if you work hard they appreciate it, you are more than just another employee

Cons

The pay could be higher, the high needs homes are stressful, when another employee doesn't do what they are supposed to do your job gets 10x harder.
